Fernando de Noronha is an island that belongs to the state of Pernambuco. Although it is part of Brazil, in my opinion, travel to Noronha is too different than other Brazilian destinations and many Brazilian people consider it an impossible trip, especially because of the high prices that include not only the flights but also the inn reservations, rides, mandatory environmental protection fees and costs with alimentation and transportation. Everything that is consumed there is imported from the continent. So, that is the reason for the expensive prices, like coconut water costing an incredible R$20,00 on the beaches, for example.
The island is one hour ahead in comparison to Brasilia time zone. Because of that, the sunset occurs later and the tourists may enjoy more time on the paradisiac beaches. In most of them visitors can have practically an exclusive experience. In other words, there aren't any beach vendors, beggars or loud music. Generally beaches offer the natural environment or simple kiosks in a few of them, to have peaceful moments and contemplate the landscape and marine life.
Sancho Beach has already been considered five times the most beautiful beach in the world. The access there is possible for two ways: by boat or going down a streit ladder inside the rocks and hundreds of steps. Every effort is valuable, because the beach is fantastic.
Some bloggers and tourists describe travel to Fernando de Noronha like a trip to an European island. I have never been to any island outside Brazil yet. If their opinion is true, I’ve already had a taste of traveling to Greece, my dream destination, without leaving my own country.
